KARAMOJA

logo-web-160
In the very first years of the last Century, an adventurous and independent Scotsman set foot in an unexplored region of Eastern Uganda. Within five years, he had put Karamoja on the map of Africa in bold characters, and made himself a name as one of the greatest elephant hunters ever.

Karamoja and W. D. M. "Karamojo" Bell are so much part of the African lore that almost every teenager dreaming of African adventures has heard of them. Vast plains teeming with game in incredible numbers, stupendous landscapes, tales of gold, precious stones, ivory, and ever-present danger contributed to the legend.

Karamoja's majestic plains and stunning mountains are shrouded in mistery, most people do not know exactly where it is, or even if the region still exists.

Today, Karamoja is one of the last wild places in Africa. Wildlife is slowly returning to the savannas emptied during the years of turmoil after Idi Amin's demise. Huge swaths of land have not been visited in decades, and the breathtaking beauty of the place has no comparison.

If you want real wilderness adventure, if you want memories of a lifetime… Come and visit!
