BUFFALO HUNT IN KARAMOJA
We offer unique hunts in Karamoja, in wild areas outside of the Wildlife Reserves.
If you want to experience real Africa, as close as it can get to what we live in our everyday dealings here, if you want to explore and discover places that are outside the trodden paths, where no footsteps have been imprinted ahead of yours in decades, if you hunt for the pleasure of the chase and of the unknown and not for the quest of a place in the record books, if you can stop in your tracks and forget about your quarry for a while because the beauty of a place is simply overwhelming, you'll love Karamoja.
Impressive trophies are there, for sure. But we cannot and do not want to guarantee them. Karamoja is wild. It is stupendous. It needs to be explored by people who love nature and wildlife, remote communities need to become aware of what we are doing, elusive animal populations have to be found and assessed so that wildlife management plans can be drawn, water points, seasonal rivers, pastures, breeding grounds need to be put on the map.
While doing all this, we hunt. We may find promising buffalo spoors and track for hours, and they may lead us into an unkonwn area where all of a sudden an impressive elephant herd that nobody knew about appears out of nowhere. We may find the most lovely camp site one may dream of, and discover that wild dogs are roaming the area - when everyone was giving the wild dog as locally extinct... We may...
